I’m very happy to announce that I have been selected for inclusion in the #AVLGLITCH – Juried Group Photography Show 2016!!
One hundred works selected by the jurors will be exhibited during the entire month of October 2016 at three locations in Asheville, NC. (USA) in the #AVLGLITCH Photography Exhibition.

Glitch art is the aestheticization of digital or analog errors. This exhibition will focus on Glitch photography – experimentation through manipulation of an original image using creative post-photography processes. Glitch is rooted in transience and imperfection, and the recent influx of vernacular photography due to social media has brought a shift in visual aesthetics celebrating serendipity and mistakes as well as inspiring professional photographers to intentionally craft anomalies. Glitch explores this trend and looks forward to the future of the medium. The focus of this show is to encourage experimentation with photos by remixing them or manipulating the original image through multiple creative post-photography processes.

La Glitch Art è l’estetizzazione di errori digitali o analogici. La mostra #AVLGLITCH Photography Exhibition è dedicata alla Glitch Photography – cioè la sperimentazione realizzata attraverso la manipolazione di un’immagine originale con processi creativi. Il Glitch trova le sue radici nella transitorietà e nell’imperfezione e il recente influsso della fotografia vernacolare dovuto alla diffusione dei social media ha portato ad un cambiamento dell’estetica visiva che si è esplicitato in una celebrazione della serendipità e degli errori, così come pure nell’ispirazione in alcuni fotografi professionisti a creare delle anomalie intenzionali. Il Glitch esplora dunque questa tendenza e guarda al futuro del mezzo visivo. Il focus della mostra è quello di incoraggiare la sperimentazione basata sulla manipolazione di fotografie attraverso molteplici forme di processo creativo.
